1、affiliate, link, attach都有“附加”的意思，用法不一样。
affiliatev.参加，变成……一有些。
e.g.this middle school is affiliated to the university.这所大学附归于那所大学。
linkv.将人或物联接起来。
e.g.television stations around the world are linked by satellite.
全世界的电视台经过卫星联络一同。
attachv.将某物系在、贴在、附在另一物上，一般与to连用。
e.g. with the skin gone, to what can the hair attach itself.皮之不存，毛将焉附?
2、affirm, assert, allege, claim, announce, proclaim这一组动词都有“声称”的意思。
affirmv.深信不疑地必定或声称，是deny的反义词。
e.g.everything i had accomplished seemed to affirm that opinion.
我所做成的每件事如同都证明晰那个观念。
assertv.指不管实际如何，片面自傲地声称，或许理解有力地坚持某个情况为实际。
e.g.the republics began asserting their right to govern themselves.
各共和国初步坚持他们自治的权力。
allegev.在无真凭实据的情况下声称、断定。
e.g.the newspapers allege that the police shot the suspect without warning.
报纸指称差人未经示警就枪杀那位嫌疑
犯。
claimv.需求，声称，断语。多指根据某种规则提出的需求或主张。
e.g.an underground organization has claimed responsibility for the bomb explosion.
一个地下组织已声称对炸弹爆破作业担任。
announcev.宣告，宣告。多指初度当众正式宣告某一主张或情绪，常带有预告意味。
e.g.he will announce tonight that he is resigning from office.他今晚将宣告他要辞去职务
proclaimv.宣告；宣告(树立)。指经过沉思熟虑后向群众宣告一个清楚的抉择或判别，特别指严峻作业的宣告，多用于官方场合。
e.g.britain proudly proclaims that it is a nation of animal lovers.
英国骄傲地声称它是个酷爱动物的国家。
3、aggravate, reinforce, increase, strengthen, intensify这一组动词都有“加强”的意思。
aggravatev.加剧(担负、罪行、病况等)，使之恶化。
e.g.stress and lack of sleep can aggravate the situation.严峻和短少睡觉会使情况恶化。
reinforcev.声援，一般用于戎行或差人的行为；(添材料等)加固。
e.g.both sides have been reinforcing their positions after yesterday’s fierce fighting.
两边经过昨日的激战后都在向各自的阵地增派军力。
increasev.指数量上的添加。
e.g.the population continues to increase.人员持续增加。
strengthenv.加强，安靖，增强，恰当于to become stronger。
e.g.we must strengthen our unity in the face of powerful enemies.
大敌其时，咱们有必要加强联合。
intensifyv.使变得更激烈、剧烈，加剧，恰当于to become more intense or intensive。
e.g.the conflict is almost bound to intensify.冲突几乎注定会加剧。
4、alert, cautious, considerate都标明“留心的，稳重的”。
alertadj.警惕的，留心的。
e.g.the alert leopard went up to a deer quietly.警惕的豹子静悄然地走近一只鹿。
cautiousadj.细心的，稳重的。
e.g.employers may become overly cautious about taking on new staff.
雇主在招聘新职工时可以会变得过于稳重。
considerateadj.关怀别人的，关心的。
e.g.it was considerate of you to bring me my raincoat.你为我带来雨衣,真是想得周全。
5、alive, live, living, lively这一组描述词都跟“活”有关。
aliveadj.活着的，有活力的，常作表语，作定语时有必要后置。
e.g.the big factories are trying to stay alive by cutting costs.
大型工厂正企图经过削减本钱以坚持生计。
liveadj.活的，有活力的，现场直播的。
e.g.a live band is always a good draw at a party.
现场演奏的乐队在集会上老是很招引人的。
livingadj.活着的，作定语可前可后，可润饰人也可润饰物。
